Perched on a rocky promontory on the Rosneath Peninsula in Argyll, the cabin sits lightly within its coastal landscape. Its linear single storey form extends over the water, supported by sculptural steel legs, offering direct engagement with the loch and sky.
The project is shaped by material, light and experience. Timber and local basalt reference the terrain below while interiors are framed to bring the movement of waves, birds and seals into daily life. Light shifts through the day, creating a continuous dialogue between inside and out.
Its inclusion in Wallpaper* offers an opportunity to reflect on a project where architecture, landscape and experience are closely intertwined, producing a house that feels elemental and intimately connected to its place.
